You might wanna read part 1 & 2 of this series if you haven't already....

Part 1
Part 2

So here we go....

Cabo San Lucas

Re-living the anniversary from last year... Somehow we ended up in Cabo... again....
And we loved it...

We went back to all our favorite places....

Starting with Capt. Tony's. Although we were full from our breakfast on the ship, we just could not resist our favorite freshly prepared Guacamole and Chips.
When we say freshly prepared... We mean freshly prepared in front of you and served in the same bowl....

Senor Frog says HOLA from Mexico....

One of our fav hangout spot...
Isn't this a beautiful place...

After a wonderful day.... we came back to the ship and hung out on the deck enjoying the lovely sunny day....

We came back to a lovely surprise.... our beautifully decorated room...
Dinner came with a special cake from the cruise along with a Happy Anniversary song!!!
We wish this vacation never ended.... We wish we could go back and freeze the time in this moment....

This was a truly amazing experience... A lot of memories were made... A great vacation and at the end we felt like we had done so much in this 1 week... So many more stories, that we can keep writing... But we don't want to bore you with these...
So this is the last post in our cruise series... Hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed sharing it with you all....
Have a great week!!!

P.S.: Lookout for this space... Something new is coming up....

Our Ports of Call... Cruise Trip Part 2...

In case you missed my previous post.... And to make sense to this post... Please check the previous post below...

http://thedoublemlife.blogspot.com/2013/01/2nd-anniversary-and-1st-ever-cruise.html

So as a part of this cruise we had 3 ports of call. This post is for the 1st Port Of Call:

Puerto Vallarta:

Start of the most amazing day by getting on a speed boat for a ride along the beautiful coastline...
Away from the "mass tourism" of the city towards the jungles and remote villages
We saw these huge rocks in the middle of the ocean... These rocks are home to these "blue footed birds"
These birds are found only at 3 places in the world and Puerto Vallarta is one of them...

1st Stop... A small village... population: less than 300... no access by road.... It reminded me of some of the Indian villages....  Similar homes and similar life style....

We got on our horses for a 1 hour ride to the middle of  the deep jungle.... You can see the jungle in the photo above...
This one is my horseeee....

The journey took us to this beautiful waterfall in the middle of the jungle....

After the horse ride back to the village, we got on our boats for a ride to a nice cove where we went snorkeling....

We ran in to some biiiiiiiiig fish along the way...... a.k.a  The Blue Whale.. WE even tried talking in whale.. remember Nemo?? We tried the same way!!

Then our guide took us to another remote village....
Population: less than 85.... To reach here by road from the city is 4 - 5 hours.... boat ride is approximately 45 - 60 minutes.
The local community had prepared a feast for us... Yummy yummy....

The secluded beach by the village... The feast was served along the beach...

Our very funny and entertaining guide... Poncho... If you go to Puerto Vallarta.... Go for "Vallarta Adventures" for your excursions and search for Poncho.....

The day ended with a refreshing freshly harvested coconuts followed by a high speed ride back to the cruise ship....

Next Post: The Anniversary day and what we did... Part 3 of this post.... Stay tuned....

2nd Anniversary and 1st ever Cruise... Part 1

Time just Flies by... Its been 2 years since we got hitched but it feels like yesterday....
An occasion as special as this required a big celebration. So we decided to take our 1st cruise. A week of total relaxation and adventure, away from internet, cell phones, work and anything and everything that keeps your mind occupied. Except for Fun, adventure and new friends.
We took a 7 day cruise with Princess Cruises to Mexican Rivera (thanks to our best friend Yuthika for hooking us up with a great deal).

The fun and activities in the past week were so enormous that it will be hard to fit them all in this blog post...
I will definitely be posting the all our outfits, from formal to totally informal, that we wore in the coming 'Outfit Posts', but here is the gist of our vacation.

Our Beautifully Huge Ship.
946 Ft long 116,000 tons with passenger capacity of  3100 and a crew of 1200.
One of the most amazing floating marvels....

The Sapphire Princess...
A different level of luxury....

Our Running Track spanning from the nose of the ship to very back

Pristine views... Sitting in the warm waters of the Jacuzzi sipping a Pina Colada...

The Awesome Champagne tower on the 1st Formal Night....

With Gourmet Food Each Day....

By the end of our trip, we were already wondering when can we plan our next cruise vacation....
After this 1st cruise, we would suggest that anyone who can spare the time must take a cruise like this. It was the best vacation ever.....
Caution: You will definitely gain 10 pounds from eating yummy desserts 3 times a day or even more. Yummy free food and amazing buffets to be blamed...

There is so much more to share....

Next Post: The amazing adventures we had on our ports of call. Part 2 of this post....

A very Happy New Year!!!!

Wishing all you lovely people.. A very Happy New Year!!
As the new year enters into the teens.. The 2012 "scare/hype" is finally over!! ( not that I was afraid or anything... Lolzz). Its time to rejoice and make the most of it!! Its time to take control over life and make some changes... I know you guys must be thinking not another one with the whole list of changes to make with no outcome!! Well at least I can try!! Last year I did manage to complete half of my resolutions and that's a big leap for me cause I've never completed any resolution in my life!! Yea.. I am that kind!!! But this year I am keeping my resolutions or the promises I make to myself simple and doable!!

I know most of us completely forget about our resolutions the second day and because of that I have decided to be accountable for it by posting it on my blog!!! So dat I know I have to do it... Making list is a bad hobby of mine!! But it surely keeps me on track!!!

The things I've promised myself I'll be doing this year includes :

1. Cook more... Lately I've been eating out a lot and it takes a toll on my health.. So, with the little skill I have, I have decided to cook more at home!!!
2. Host more parties and get-togethers at my place.. Living in a small apartment I generally feel there is not enough space for parties but I want to host more get togethers with friends as my family lives in India.. And they are the family I have here!!
3. Remember more Birthdays... I know I know... M not very good at remembering birthdays!!! I generally remember it by seeing all the wishes on fb!! But this year I wanna make a point I remember more! You guys must be thinking why don't you put a reminder somewhere.. I've done that but to no use!! If I don't call or msg the person I forget.. So its time to put the brain on work!!
4. Read 15 new books!! Last year I had to read 12 books and I managed to read 11..  But that did not include some of the books I read before March!! So this year I've increased the number.. It keeps me sharp!
5. Restyle my current wardrobe! I wanna create more styles from my current wardrobe rather than making purchases and stuffing my closet!!
6. Be fit, exercise regularly, eat healthy and try to help my family hop on the same wagon!! Well I have been trying for an year now... And have definitely seen a lot of changes!!
7. Learn Tai Chi!! Have been intrigued by it a lot and now I wanna learn it!!!
8. Go for more hikes.. Last year we planned to go on at least one hike every month but ended up going for just 3-4 in a year!! Time to pick it up again!!
9. Start my own vegetable garden! Have been thinking about it!! But never got around to do it!!
10. Lastly, I actually wanna complete everything on my list!!

Sorry for boring you with my list!! Do you have a list for this year??? Wanna join me in any of the above resolutions?? Feel free to comment below!!
