Grammy's Red Carpet 2013...

Well, I certainly was and did watch the Red Carpet with a lot of interest!!

There weren't many good dresses that I came across and felt a bit more effort could have been put but nevertheless here's my list of some of the best dressed artists on the Grammy's Red Carpet...

Katy Perry in the most prettiest colored Gucci dress looked really good!! I loved her make up.. it was subtle but still enhanced the perfect features... 

Okay okay... I know He looks totally handsome in  Tom Ford... right?? 

Rihanna's Floor sweeping custom Azzadine Alai dress spoke for itself.. Red was Hot!!!!

Carrie Underwoon in Roberto Cavalli.. She looked stunning!! 

Heartiest congratulations to all the winners... Looking forward to some more red carpet action coming up really soon.. you know what I'm talking about .. don't you??

The Emmy Look!!

Did you catch the latest Emmy Awards this weekend??

There was a plethora of colors on the Red Carpet..

From yellow/gold to orange..
From sea foam to cobalt blue...
From Reds to Burgundy and oxblood..
From Prints to glitzy glamour..

I loved looking at all the dresses.. but these were my favorites...

Ginnifer Goodwin in vintage inspired Monique Lhuillier..

I loved the Orange.. Looked so fresh and eye catchy!!

Lucy Liu in atelier Versace gown...

Glamorous with an edge!! 

Heidi Klum in Alexander Vaulthier..

The softness of the sea foam color and the sexiness of that long slit really made it stand out!

Julia Louis- Dreyfus in Vera Wang..

The silhouette is just amazing.. the way it accentuates the curves.. the fall.. I just loved this dress.. with the addition of this beautiful burgundy color.. Tooo good!! 

Hayden Panettiere in Marchesa..

 I loved the Indian saree inspired dress on the runway as well.. 

Tina Fey in Vivienne Westwood

The color, the clean crisp look and the right amount of embelishment.. Perfection!

Code Blue..

I am a big fan of the color BLUE!! Well.. it's always been pink for girls and blue for boys.. but somehow pink takes a back seat for me.. I am more for the BLUE!! Whenever I go shopping my eyes always find things in blue.. So, I tell my hubby to say "no" to blue items cause I have enough of them... but sometimes I still buy them...

This dress is my own concept.. This was a Phulkari dupatta ( It's an Indian traditional wear from Punjab..) which I designed into a dress... I am a fan of this work from the start but living in US I don't have a lot of Indian wear occasions..  So, I though making a dress out of it would actually solve my purpose and I will still be able to wear this fab Punjabi Traditional Indian wear!!

I got it tailored from a very able and talented designer back in India... She added the pocket details to the dress.. which gives it a little edge...

The Embroidery on the dress is done by hand.. and that makes it an expensive affair.. but classy...

I paired it with my new Orange-maroon shoes (M in love with them) to give the dress a little contrast!! Keeping the handbag a neutral black and the accessories a mix of gold and blue!!

I was loving the cool evening breeze in my hair!!

No, I have not done anything to my hair.. these are the natural waves of my hair.. and I really like them!!

We went out for Hubby's birthday dinner yesterday and it was so much fun... We had reserved a tapas place with wine and everything.. it was a cozy place.. with great ambiance but din't like the food.. so we finished up our wines and went to freebirds world burrito.. and oh yea.. we loved it... for even the picky eaters like me.. we talked and laughed and had an amazing time...

Tribal Colors

This summer it's been all about colors.. So, when the InFB's VIBGYOR Challenge came along.. I thought to myself.. Why not??
I mostly don't wear a lot of colors in one outfit so, this time too I wanted to keep the look simple but still have color.. The challenge also included the option that the color could be in any form in the pic... So I went with the background of my own paintings..

Lost and Found!!

Last week I was going through my closet, looking for some of my old shorts and skirts when my eyes fell upon "them".. and I realized,  I already have a pair of "colored shorts"!! The first thing that came to my mind was It's so IN and I had no idea I already possessed it!! Has this ever happened to you??

I bought these about a year and a half back while shopping for my honeymoon and then completely forgot about them.. This is how I wore it then..

The "All Purpose" Bag!!

Do you have an " All Purpose " bag??
One in which you can put almost everything you own??

Lately, I've been searching for one, it should primarily have 2 basic qualities :

1. It should be sturdy enough to carry my stuff!! ( I always have loads )
2. Great look!!

I like to carry almost everything in my bag from pen"s" to nail clipper, granola bars to emergency medical kit, make up to make up removers.. and what nots..!!! It's like a mini carry on luggage!!
I try to keep it as organised as possible but you know handbags need cleaning frequently!!

My poor little handbags have been doing the heavy duty stuff for me for a long time now and it was time for me to cut them some slack!! Sorry dearies.. for being so harsh on you...
Last weekend I went shopping to the Outlet mall as I mentioned here and there it was.. the perfect bag!! It had the looks, the versatility, the sturdiness I was looking for...and just for $32!!! I had to get it..

And the moment I got home, I started loading my darling BIG handbag with all the stuff I needed/may need/rarely need!! ahh..well you never know what comes in handy.. right??

We had a fun trip planned the next day to JPL-NASA open house and I thought there's no better occasion for me to try it out than this!!

I boxed up our lunch.. yeah.. I like to carry my own food rather than chomping on all the greasy ones we get these days... It was a huge box but my handbag gobbled it up completely.. it just disappeared!! :)
